Healing and Curing - two different words (worlds !)
Curing has a very important role to play in our modern day jet life. It is conceptualized as the elimination of the signs and symptoms of disease which has manifested on the denser level i.e. the body. This can involve medication, surgery, psychotherapy or other modalities.
Healing, on the other hand, is an intimate and integrative process that encompasses every aspect of our being the entire spectrum of our existence on the trion level, viz SOUL-MIND-BODY. The word 'heal' originates from the Anglo-Saxon word 'hal/helan/helian', meaning ' whole or hale or hearty ', rather than freedom from disease. Healing implies self-empowerment, alignment and integration making us become whole in all aspects, which is our birthright. From this foundation work, we would now be approaching the evolution of holism in health and life. To understand Holistic Health or Healing, we need to look into the evolution of healing, from the beginning of life, evolution of mankind from the cave-age to the modern sophisticated intelligent being. This can be divided into five distinct eras of healing techniques, based on different Metaphysics.
